Welcome to Trinity CEVAP School. Choosing a school is a huge milestone in the lives of any parent and child, and I hope that having looked around our website, you will be encouraged to take the next step and come to see us in person.

I am very proud to be Trinity’s first Head Teacher, and excited about the challenges which lie before the governors, staff and me. Having previously taught in a variety of schools in Northern Ireland, Asia and the UK, I join Trinity from another Church Of England School – Kersey CEVCP – which I led through an Outstanding Ofsted in 2012. Kersey is consistently one of the top performing schools in Suffolk for pupil achievement - a tradition I aim to quickly develop here at Trinity.

As a Church School, our strong Christian values will underpin the outstanding provision which we aim to provide; as an inclusive school, we are open to our entire community, believing that from a Christian viewpoint, we can teach all of our children to respect, accept and understand the beliefs and traditions of others, therefore equipping all our pupils to live in a multicultural society.

We are incredibly lucky to have such amazing and extensive grounds surrounding our school, which will enable us to fully embrace the outdoors within our extensive curriculum, affording children the opportunity to learn beyond the confines of a classroom and to enjoy our world. We aim to embed Forest Schools and an outdoor education programme as part of our broad and balanced provision for all pupils, ensuring that learning is seen as challenging, fun and achievable for all.

My philosophy of education is simple – I want the very best for every child in my care.  I know that if learning is presented in an interesting way, every learner raises themselves to this challenge. The belief of the teacher in the ability of every child to succeed is essential. Also essential is the support and engagement of parents and carers in home learning activities, reading and in the life of the school.

Choosing a school is a huge step – a leap into the unknown in many respects. Here at Trinity we are committed to making this journey with all of our families a positive and successful one. In building strong relationships and in working together, I am confident that we will ensure the very best outcomes for your child.

Please feel free to call me to discuss the school and to meet me in person (01449 770462)– I am always happy to talk with both current and prospective parents.

Thank you for considering our school
