Tuesday 28th April - Owl work

There seems to be a problem with some people not receiving emails today.  Please  see below for the work that was send via email this morning.

Please find attached the answers to yesterday's reading comprehensions.

Today's learning is as follows:

This week’s spellings are:

1. accident. 2. accidentally. 3. actual. 4. address. 5. although.

This week’s Fast Writing:

Hindu Gods (Same text as last week, as we practice over a two week period)

English Year 3 and 4: Inverted commas and other punctuation to punctuate speech.

Use the picture attached to make up a conversation between these characters – don’t forget to add a comma, and put punctuation inside the closing inverted commas. Or alternatively pick your own picture to use.

E.g The furious Hulk groaned, “There’s no way I can reach this, I’m too heavy!”

“Pick it up with your toes then!” replied Spiderman, watching the Hulk struggle to balance.

Maths Year 3 and 4: Numerous number facts! Look at these number sentences and use your knowledge of place value to write down as many multiplication and division facts as you can. For example:

1 x 5 = 5

Therefore I know that:

10 x 5 = 50

100 x 50 = 5000

50 ÷ 10 = 5

5000 ÷ 10 = 500

Now try with these:

1. 4 x 3 = 12

2. 80 ÷ 2 = 40

3. 12 x 5 = 60

4. 8 x 9 = 72

5. 150 ÷ 5 = 30

6. 60 ÷ 3 = 20

To make it more exciting, time yourself – how many facts can you write down in 1 minute? In 2 minutes?
