English Year 3 and 4: The words of today are: mystify and magical. I would like you to write a definition of the words. Write it in a sentence and think of other words that mean the same.
E.g. for the word ultimate
Ultimate = being the best of its kind.
When I grow up, my ultimate goal is to be ….
Or when I grow up, I am going to be the ultimate mathematician.
Other words for ultimate = greatest, best, highest.
During the week could you try to use the words mystify and magical in a conversation!
Maths Year 3: What is the fraction of the shape? Please find attached pictures of shapes, write down what fraction has been coloured. Also match the fraction to the picture. If you cannot print the sheet, please just write the question number and answer in your blue Maths books.
Maths Year 4: Fractions of amounts! Attached is a sheet with a fraction maze. Your task is to work out what answer is correct, and then follow the maze through to the end. There are 2 versions: an easier option, and a more challenging option. Remember, you divide your whole number by the denominator first, and then multiply your answer by the numerator. E.g. 2/3 of 6. Divide 6 by 3 which is 2. Then multiply 2 by 2 to get 4, which is your answer. To save on printing, you can just write the fractions in your blue maths books.
