1.7.19 - We made potato salad. We learned about the different fruits and vegetables and where they came from. We also thought carefully about how to have good hygiene when cooking and preparing food.
28.6.19 - We finished off a busy sports week by taking part in the army assault course. We started off by building the tent, looking after an injured soldier and sorting out what we would need in our bag. We then raced along the assault course, seeing how quickly we could complete it.
28.6.19 - Wow! What a fantastic rugby session we had. We practised throwing, catching and some basic rules of the game.
26.6.19 - Today we were joined by two other local schools for a KS1 sports festival. All of the children demonstrated fantastic sportsmanship! Well done.

24.6.19 - Over the past few weeks we have been designing and making our own pizza boxes. During Science today we made pizza, thinking carefully about good hygiene. They look delicious!
11.6.19 - Oh no! A spacecraft has crash landed in our playground and the alien is looking for somewhere new to live! The children wrote some fantastic stories about different places he tried..
23.5.19 - The year 2 children enjoyed making and playing their own board games as part of our Trinity Twenty afternoon.
21.5.19 - We had a fantastic medieval day! In the morning we applied for different jobs in the castle. We had to think carefully about the skills and attributes needed to do each job. In maths we used the numicon to make our own symmetrical castles and other medieval pictures. In the afternoon we enjoyed a traditional medieval banquet followed by medieval dancing. What a great day!
Art - This half term we studied Paul Klee and looked at his famous piece "Castle in the Sun". We worked in groups to create our own versions. We also looked at shields from the medieval times and created our own.
15.5.19 - PSHE - We started off looking at different things we do and sorted these into physical and sitting down activities. We discussed the importance of children carrying out 1 hour of physical activity a day. We tried some different physical activities out, including carrying the shopping and sweeping the floor.
9.5.19 - Art - We looked at different shields from the medieval times and thought about what out shield would look like if we were a knight. We then designed and painted our own shields. They look fantastic!
The children have enjoyed taking on the role of different people who lived in a castle. Look at the fantastic castle they built from crates during their afternoon play.
25.4.19 - We had a great trip to Framlingham and Orford Castles to begin our new topic.
