Pirate Hook Days - We had so much fun starting to learn about pirates. Here are some pictures to show what we have been getting up to!
When learning about what keeps us healthy, we discussed getting plenty of exercise. We learnt about three types of exercises; cardio, flexibility and strength and planned an exercise video to encourage people to do more exercise. Take a look at some of our planning below!
In Science we have been exploring how to be healthy. We learnt about the different food groups then identified which group the food from our lunch would fit into. Here is the food pyramid that we created.
In RE we have been learning about the Jewish term mitzvot (meaning good deeds). We thought of our own ideas of good deeds that we could do. Here are some examples.
In our Farming topic we learnt about where our food comes from. Some foods come from plants, while other foods come from animals. We also looked at where in the world some of our foods come from and added them to our map.
We went on a local walk to the fire station, looking for different places along the way like the park, the allotments and the bridge. We plotted these on the map as we walked then looked out for habitats on our way back!
In Science we have been learning about food chains. We used playdough to make some representations of simple food chains like the ones below.
We learnt all about the four countries that make up the United Kingdom and their capital cities. We also learnt some other facts about the countries and learnt to recognise the flags.
