English Year 3 and 4: Words of the day: mistrust and bold. Write a definition of the word, use and write it in a sentence and write other words which mean the same as it.

E.g. The genie said that he was glad he mistrusted the evil villain.

Maths Year 3 and 4: Create your own zoo! Imagine each square in your maths book is 1m by 1m (the length of Mrs Bell’s long whiteboard ruler!). A 1m square. Plan out enclosures for animals in your own zoo. Then count the squares they have and this is the area. E.g. If I give lions 18 squares the area = 18m squared.  Don’t worry about using the squared symbol yet – we have not taught this. Counting the squares is fine! Think carefully about what animals go next to each other! I have attached one that Mrs Bell made as an example.
