Candlemas - February 2025
Candlemas happens on 2nd February and is a special day in the Christian calendar. The day also has another name - The Presentation of Jesus in the Temple. We held a Candlemas Service where each class presented an offering during the service (such as paintings, sculptures and bread.) Members of our school, local community and the Diocese attended. Rev. Sarah blessed every class and the candles which are used in school during collective worship. We hold a special significance to candles. They are a reminder of something important- the light of Jesus.
