This half term we learnt to program Beebots to move from one place to another by giving them a set of directions called an algorithm. We had lots of fun acting out being Beebots ourselves too!

We moved pegs along the coat hanger to find different ways to make 6, practicing our number bonds!

In RE this half term we have been learning about the Christian welcoming ceremony for babies, known as Baptism or Christening. We learnt about what happens in the service and found out that there are different symbols used. One of the symbols they make on the baby's head is the sign of the cross, used to show that Jesus loves the baby.

We went outside and used things we have in the garden to make the sign of the cross ourselves!

This half term we are reading the book Handa's Surprise in French (La Surprise de Handa). We learnt to name some of the colours of the different fruits in the book, then we went outside on a colour hunt, matching objects we found with the French name for the colour!

In Maths we have been looking at numbers up to 10, making sure we can recognise them and count out that number of objects. We enjoyed playing a Show me the number game outside, finding different ways to show the numbers written on the playground.
