23.5.19 - The year 2 children enjoyed making and playing their own board games as part of our Trinity Twenty afternoon.
21.5.19 - We had a fantastic medieval day! In the morning we applied for different jobs in the castle. We had to think carefully about the skills and attributes needed to do each job. In maths we used the numicon to make our own symmetrical castles and other medieval pictures. In the afternoon we enjoyed a traditional medieval banquet followed by medieval dancing. What a great day!
Art - This half term we studied Paul Klee and looked at his famous piece "Castle in the Sun". We worked in groups to create our own versions. We also looked at shields from the medieval times and created our own.
15.5.19 - PSHE - We started off looking at different things we do and sorted these into physical and sitting down activities. We discussed the importance of children carrying out 1 hour of physical activity a day. We tried some different physical activities out, including carrying the shopping and sweeping the floor.
9.5.19 - Art - We looked at different shields from the medieval times and thought about what out shield would look like if we were a knight. We then designed and painted our own shields. They look fantastic!
The children have enjoyed taking on the role of different people who lived in a castle. Look at the fantastic castle they built from crates during their afternoon play.
25.4.19 - We had a great trip to Framlingham and Orford Castles to begin our new topic.
